mindfulness for fertility

programs

The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step
— Lao Tzu

These practical Mindfulness-based programs have been carefully developed based on the growing body of evidence demonstrating that Mindfulness-based programs alleviate stress and support fertility.

The programs integrate the works of Thich Nhat Hanh, Jon Kabat-Zinn, Dr. Randine Lewis and Dr. Alice Domar.  They are a combination of:

  • Age-old contemplative meditation practices

  • Contemporary Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

  • Traditional Chinese Medicine psycho-emotional inquiry

  • Harvard-developed cognitive exercises that have been designed to support those struggling with fertility

Alda offers these programs in the hopes of sharing the far-reaching benefits of Mindfulness in a practical, universal, and secular way; to transform suffering from stress, anxiety, anger, fear and depression, while cultivating an inner refuge of stability, resilience, clarity, openness and peace.

These programs are ideal for people who are struggling with the distress of trying to create a pregnancy or with recurrent miscarriages. They are recommended as an integral part of your holistic physical and mental-emotional fertility treatment plan. It is meant to compliment your natural fertility and/or ART program and also works well in conjunction with counselling.
